So I went to TRF again for a total of one day, the last day, this year... sound familiar? Okay, so it wasn't the last day when I went last year, and this time I went alone... but I did have a hell of a lot more fun. I got to see several people that I knew from Scarby, and had a pretty good time, even without really stopping to watch the shows. The bells were amazing though, beautifully rung.
Anyway, so, I did make some purchases that are building forward for my second character, Bryar. The most major of those being a pair of nine-button Son of Sandlar boots ^.^ Yes Cap'n, I got Sandlars before you did. You may now imagine me sticking my tongue out at you and then running away with the pretty leather. I will still be using my RenBoots for my pirate, Pillows, however.
The knife that I helped Don make over at Scarby, which is now my favorite pointy, finally got a sheath. One made custom for it no less. It is beautiful and I love it. I'm hoping that the next addition to my leather family will be a new, brown, belt for Bryar. Either that or the custom leather top piece, but that's a secret and I shall tell no one what it will look like until I order it.
As well, there WERE a pair of gorgeous wooden knives, elven style, from Hallow Earth... one of which I got for an inordinant deal... which are no longer in my posession. And nor is the flint-knapped rock-knife from Scarby. It is an aggrivating and embarrassing tale that I will not be telling people, but I will let you know that before they left my possession, the wooden pieces were beautiful and i WILL be replacing them.
Other than that, the day at Faire was wonderful, and though I have many months to go before getting to go to faire again... ah, bugger that, one day at faire isn't gonna sate my renfest appetite until season comes 'round again, that's a damned lie if I say otherwise, but it was still fun! lol
